Softshell jacket – various customisation options available

Putting on a coat doesn’t have to be a daily struggle.

This adapted softshell jacket from GOZZ combines the look of a standard jacket with practical adaptations that make it easier to put on and take off. The jacket can be customised to suit the user’s needs and is therefore suitable for, amongst others, wheelchair users and people who need assistance with dressing.

To make them easier to put on, the sleeves can be fitted with a full-length zip extending up to the armpit. If you just need a bit of extra space, you could opt for a a zip of about 20 cm on the forearm.

The front can also be customised. A magnetic zip helps when it is difficult to grip, position or fasten a standard zip.

For wheelchair users, a special model is available with a shortened back panel of approximately 30 cm. This means there is less excess fabric between the back and the wheelchair. The back panel can be fastened with press studs or Velcro.

What’s more, the softshell jacket can with or without a hood are carried out.

Possible changes:

• full-length sleeve zip extending to the armpit
• a sleeve zip of approximately 20 cm on the forearm
• magnetic zip at the front
• wheelchair model with a backrest height of approximately 30 cm
• fastening at the back with press studs or Velcro
• with or without a hood

The result is not a typical “care coat”, but a comfortable coat that is tailored to the person wearing it.
