Body korte mouw | Zorgkleding grote maten

This comfortable and practical body – romper with press studs  has been developed with particular attention to comfort, ease of care and the individual needs of the care recipient.

No two care recipients are the same. That is why this bodysuit is available in various designs, allowing us to assess on a case-by-case basis which fastening and any modifications are most suitable for each individual.

The body is standard suitable for use with nappies and available in various sizes, including plus sizes.

Two possible press-stud fastenings

Depending on the care recipient, there are two different options to choose from:

  1. Traditional fastening between the legs
In this design, the bodysuit fastens between the legs with press studs. This ensures the bodysuit stays securely in place and can be easily opened when changing nappies or carrying out other care tasks.
  2. Extended front panel with a fastening at the back
In this version, the front panel extends further down between the legs and becomes at the bottom at the back fastened with press studs.

As a result, the press studs are not positioned between the legs. This can make opening and closing the garment easier and ensure that the patient does not need to be turned or placed in an uncomfortable position as much during care.

Tailored to the care recipient

Choosing a particular fastening is not just a practical decision. Other factors are also taken into account, such as whatever is most comfortable for the care recipient themselves.

For some people, a particular action, the place where they go to the toilet, or the way they get dressed or undressed can act as a trigger and cause restlessness, tension or aggressive behaviour. Changing the position or method of fastening may then help to make care sessions run more smoothly and be more pleasant.

That is why we look not only at what is practical for the carer, but above all at what works best for the person themselves.

Selected for intensive use

A great deal of attention was also paid to the choice of fabric. Carewear is often used daily and intensively, and washed frequently. The quality of the material is therefore particularly important.

We’ve decided on a high-quality cotton with elastane which feels soft and comfortable against the skin, offers sufficient freedom of movement and is, at the same time, suitable for regular and intensive use.

The stretchy fabric helps to ensure a comfortable fit, even with frequent wear and care.

In this way, we combine the comfort that the care recipient needs with the quality and sustainability that require daily care.

Versions and possible modifications

Every care situation is different. That is why the bodysuit/romper can be further tailored to the individual needs of the care recipient where necessary.

Possible versions and modifications include:

  • Different sleeve lengths
  • Traditional press-stud fastening between the legs
  • Extended front panel with press-stud fastening at the back
  • Opening for a feeding tube or PEG tube – the location and method of the opening can be tailored to the position of the probe, so that it remains easily accessible for feeding, care and monitoring.
  • Stoma opening – a practical opening can be provided in the desired location, so that the stoma remains easily accessible for care and monitoring.
  • Opening or passage for a catheter or tube – if necessary, a customised duct can be fitted to route hoses in a practical and convenient manner.
  • Adjustable neckline – if getting dressed and undressed over the head is difficult or uncomfortable, it is worth looking into what adapted options are available.
  • Suitable for nappy use as standard
  • Available in various sizes, including plus sizes
  • Other individual adjustments may be possible by arrangement

Tailored to the individual, not the other way round

Sometimes it is precisely the small adjustments that make a big difference in day-to-day care. A feeding tube, stoma, catheter, limited mobility or sensitivity to certain procedures can mean that standard clothing does not work as well as it should.

That’s why we’d like to look at this together what the care recipient needs and how we can tailor the body to this as effectively as possible.

Is there a specific requirement, or is the required adjustment not listed above? Please feel free to discuss this with us. Together, we look at what is technically possible and seek a solution that offers the greatest possible comfort for the care recipient whilst also being practical for the carer.
